2007: His Majesty the King, through a Royal Charter, established DHI as a wholly government-owned holding and investments company on November 11, 2007
2008: Took over Dungsam Cement Project. Took over Dagachhu Hydro Power Project. Revenue to Government: Nu. 2.1 Billion.
2009: Took up Thimphu Techpark Pvt. Limited with Assets Property Group. Revenue to Government: Nu. 2.12 Billion.
2010: Established Dungsam Polymers Ltd. Took up Amochu Land Reclamation and Township Project. Revenue to Government: Nu. 4.18 Billion.
2011: Incorporated Kofuku International Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture with Shin Nippon Biomedical laboratories Ltd. Revenue to Government: Nu. 4.27 Billion.
2012: Started Wellness Resort Project with Chiva-Som International Health Resorts. Revenue to Government: Nu. 4.19 Billion.
2013: Started construction of Tsibjalunchhu diversions scheme at Chhukha. Launched DHI CG Code. Revenue to Government: Nu. 4.48 Billion.
2014: Incorporated Nikachhu Hydropower Project. Established State Mining Corporation Ltd. Fully acquired TTPL from Assetz Property Group, Singapore. Revenue to Government : Nu. 5.42 Billion.
2015: Took over CDCL and WCCL from MoF as fully owned subsidiaries. Drukair started domestic flight to Gelephu. Revenue to Government: Nu. 5.53 Billion.
2016: SMCL started mining coal in Habrang. SMCL launched eMines. Revenue to Government: Nu. 5.96 Billion.
2017: Launched Bhutan Future Fund with a principle transfer of Nu. 300 million. Drukair started domestic flights to Gelephu and Yonphula. Revenue to government: Nu. 12.048 Billion.
2018: CDCL started its work on Phuentsholing Township Development Project (PTDP). Revenue to government: Nu. 13.079 Billion.
2019: SMCL starts operation of Kothagpa Gypsum mine, Pema Gatshel. DHI opened the InnoTech Department at DHI. Revenue to government: Nu. 12.10 Billion.
2020: Azista Bhutan Healthcare Limited in Samdrup Jongkhar commissioned.Merged Woodcraft Center Ltd with Natural Resources Development Corporation Ltd. Revenue to government: Nu. 12.40 Billion.
2021: MSPCL becomes the latest entrant into DHI as one of its DOCs with signing of the share transfer agreement between the Ministry of Finance and DHI
