DHI, in collaboration with NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration ARSET (Applied Remote Sensing Training), is conducting a 4-day in-person training program from 13-16 May.
This program dives deep into the world of satellite data, equipping participants with the skills to:
- Analyze and acquire satellite & modeled data
- Generate land, water, and disaster-related products
- Utilize existing data for land use, resource management, and climate change assessments
Specially tailored to Bhutanese case studies, the training aims to boost the country's capacity in:
- Managing natural resources effectively
- Improving land-use planning for a sustainable future
- Monitoring disasters and keeping communities safe.
We're bringing together experts from various Bhutanese institutions, including the Government Technology (GovTech) Agency, Royal Government of BhutanGovTech Bhutan Agency, National Land Commission Secretariat, Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, College of Science and Technology, Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, and ofcourse, DHI! Also, a big thank you to the Bhutan Foundation for your support.
This collaboration empowers Bhutanese institutions to leverage remote sensing to address environmental challenges in Bhutan.
